The making of our loopback fleece

Every hoodie and crewneck we make starts as loopback cotton jersey — a knit with a smooth face and a looped interior that traps warmth without weight. We brush the inside once, lightly, so it feels broken-in on day one but keeps its structure past the fiftieth wash.

The panels are pre-shrunk before cutting. It costs us a little extra fabric, but it means the hood that fits in the fitting room still fits in a year — no surprise cropping after the first hot wash.

Color goes in at the yarn stage, not the garment stage. Yarn-dyed cotton holds its saturation longer, which is why our ocean blue stays ocean and our berry red never drifts to pink.

Small runs, one mill, no mystery blends: 100% cotton in the body, a touch of elastane only in the ribbing where recovery matters.
